On November 13, 2026, "Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue" opens at the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It's a one-hour interactive adventure where participants rescue a group of villagers from danger. Tickets start at $36 per person, and sales kicked off on October 1, 2026.
A rescue mission with the Orb of Interaction
Visitors in each group get an "Orb of Interaction," a glowing, interactive device that lets you mine blocks, collect resources and interact with your surroundings. The route takes you through eight distinct realms: it starts in a forest where players learn the basics of using the device, then moves on to a village where they receive the actual mission. The developers at Experience MOD stress that the device recognizes gestures and your location in the room, so mining blocks or collecting resources looks and sounds like it does in the original game, just brought into a physical set that resembles the Overworld.
Along the way, participants run into peaceful creatures like pandas and dolphins from the mob list, as well as more dangerous ones: skeletons, spiders and creepers. The goal of the whole trip is to gather the ingredients needed to brew a potion that will save the villagers. The organizers say no prior knowledge of the game is required, so the attraction should also make sense to parents and siblings who have never launched Minecraft.
Ticket prices and sales start
A single ticket costs from $36, while friends-and-family packages start at $32 per person. Sales opened on October 1, 2026, a few weeks before the launch. The event is run by Experience MOD and Supply + Demand, under license from Mojang Studios. The organizers recommend the attraction for players aged about 6 and up, and you can book slots for groups of several people at once, which makes it easy for whole families to take part without splitting into separate entries.
A world tour after the London success
Villager Rescue is the world's first "real-life" adventure set in the world of Minecraft, designed as an event that travels between cities rather than a permanent attraction. It debuted on April 4, 2026 at Corner Corner, a new exhibition hall in London's Canada Water district, and from there the tour went on to Herning, Singapore, Mexico and Chicago. American Dream in New Jersey, about 30 minutes by car from Manhattan, is the next stop on that list, and the growing interest in earlier editions explains the decision to expand the tour to another continent and pick a spot near one of the largest metropolitan areas in the United States.
For Polish fans, this means that for now the only way to take part is to travel abroad. None of the European editions has visited Poland or the Central Europe region yet, though the organizers regularly add new cities to the tour.
A cape for taking part, and the American Dream context
Everyone who makes it to the end of the mission gets a code to claim an exclusive "Minecraft Experience" cape, which you can link to your Microsoft account. As Roy Ghermezian, the main shareholder of Triple Five Group, the company that manages the mall, put it: "American Dream is where the world's most exciting brands and experiences come to life."
American Dream is already known for its indoor amusement park Nickelodeon Universe and the indoor ski resort Big Snow, and in 2027 they are set to be joined by a themed Freddy Fazbear's Pizza restaurant inspired by the Five Nights at Freddy's series. Minecraft Experience fits into a wider trend of bringing popular gaming brands into real, physical locations.
No closing date announced
The organizers haven't said how long the attraction will run in New Jersey. It's a "limited engagement" event that could be moved to the next city on the tour at any time. If you're not planning a trip to the US, you can always run your own version of a village rescue in the game by downloading Minecraft Java Edition and building fortifications to protect villagers from raiders.
