Minecraft on PC - Java Edition + Bedrock Edition
129 PLN - one-time purchase
Buy once, play forever. No subscription, no hidden fees.
Since June 2022, Mojang has bundled both PC editions into a single package. For 129 PLN you get both Java Edition (the original version with full mod support) and Bedrock Edition (crossplay with consoles and phones). One Microsoft account is all you need - sign in to the Minecraft Launcher and you have access to both versions.
It is a one-time cost. There is no monthly subscription and no fee for updates. You get every future update (new biomes, mobs, blocks) for free - that has been the case since 2009, and Mojang has no plans to change it.
What do you get in the 129 PLN package?
- Java Edition - the original version with full support for mods (Forge, Fabric, NeoForge), shaders, texture packs and custom servers. Runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.
- Bedrock Edition - an optimized version with crossplay (play with consoles and phones), access to the Marketplace and optional ray tracing. Runs on Windows 10/11.
- Minecraft Launcher - the official launcher for managing both versions, profiles and snapshots.
- Lifetime updates - every new version of the game at no extra cost.
Where to buy Minecraft on PC?

- Minecraft gift cards - sold by Polish retailers such as Empik, Media Expert and RTV Euro AGD, and on Allegro (100 to 150 PLN depending on the denomination)
Accepted payment methods
On minecraft.net you can pay by card (Visa, Mastercard), with PayPal or with Paysafecard. BLIK (a Polish mobile payment system) is unfortunately not supported directly on minecraft.net - but if you buy through the Microsoft Store, paying with BLIK works. Alternatively, you can buy a Minecraft gift card with BLIK on Allegro or at retail chains.

Minecraft on phones - iOS and Android
31.99-40.00 PLN - one-time purchase
The cheapest way to get a legit Minecraft. The full Bedrock Edition.
Minecraft on phones is Bedrock Edition - the same version as on consoles and Windows (Bedrock). That means full crossplay: you can play with friends on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch or PC (Bedrock) from a single account.
Prices in Polish app stores differ by a few zloty (as of October 20, 2026):
- Google Play (Android) - 40.00 PLN. Pay by card, BLIK (through Google Pay) or a Google Play gift code.
- App Store (iOS) - 31.99 PLN. Pay by card, Apple Pay or an iTunes code.
The mobile version of Minecraft is surprisingly full-featured - it has practically the same content as the console version. It supports Bluetooth controllers, split screen (on some tablets) and full access to the Marketplace with maps, skins and add-ons.
If you have kids and want them to play on a tablet, this is the best deal. For 32-40 PLN they get the full game with no ads or hidden fees.
Minecraft on consoles - PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch
On consoles, Minecraft is available only as Bedrock Edition. Digital prices differ between stores: on October 20, 2026 the game cost 92.49 PLN in the Microsoft Store on Xbox and 99.99 PLN in the Nintendo eShop on Switch, and the native Switch 2 version from 110.00 PLN. We list PlayStation Store prices as of March 2026.
Prices on each console
We checked the Xbox, Switch and Switch 2 prices on October 20, 2026 in the Microsoft Store and the Nintendo eShop (Switch 2 in pre-order).
An important note for Xbox and PC players: Minecraft is in the catalog of Game Pass Premium and Game Pass Ultimate, and on PC also in PC Game Pass. If you have one of these subscriptions, you don't need to buy the game separately - just download it from your Game Pass library. More on that below.
If you own an older version of Minecraft on a console (for example "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition" or "Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition"), Mojang offered a free upgrade to Bedrock Edition. Check your console store to see whether the upgrade is still available.
Minecraft on Nintendo Switch 2
The native Switch 2 version launches on October 27, 2026, with Vibrant Visuals enabled by default. In the Nintendo eShop you can buy three digital editions (prices in the table above), and each one includes the Super Mario Mash-Up pack. The boxed copy is a Game-Key Card, meaning a key to download the game: in pre-order it costs 117.89 PLN at Empik and 129.00 PLN at x-kom.
Own the digital version for the original Switch? You can claim the Standard edition for Switch 2 in the Nintendo eShop at no extra charge until January 31, 2027, and buy Deluxe or Ultimate at a discount. Xbox Game Pass - Minecraft by subscription
From 53.99 PLN/month (PC Game Pass)
Minecraft is in the PC Game Pass, Premium and Ultimate plans. Essential doesn't include it.
If you don't want to spend 129 PLN up front, or you play other games from the catalog anyway, Minecraft is also in Xbox Game Pass. Since October 2025 Game Pass has had three plans: Essential (formerly Core), Premium (formerly Standard) and Ultimate, and on computers there is a separate PC Game Pass. Minecraft is in three of them (prices from xbox.com, as of October 20, 2026):
- Game Pass Essential - 36.99 PLN/month - 50+ games and online multiplayer on console, without Minecraft
- Game Pass Premium - 54.99 PLN/month - 200+ games, including Minecraft on Xbox consoles and Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition on PC
- PC Game Pass - 53.99 PLN/month - 300+ games on PC, including Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition, day-one releases and EA Play
- Game Pass Ultimate - 84.99 PLN/month - 400+ games on console, PC and in the cloud, day-one releases, EA Play, Fortnite Crew and Ubisoft+ Classics
Ultimate and PC Game Pass got cheaper on April 21, 2026: they previously cost 114.99 PLN and 62.99 PLN per month (antyweb.pl). Promotions for new subscribers change often. On October 20, 2026, xbox.com offered the first 14 days of Game Pass Premium for 1 PLN, and the first month of Essential for 1 PLN (though that plan doesn't include Minecraft). There was no promotion for Ultimate or PC Game Pass.
Note: on PC, the PC Game Pass, Premium and Ultimate plans give you both editions, Java and Bedrock (Java Edition has been in PC Game Pass since November 2, 2021, according to minecraft.net). On an Xbox console you play Bedrock Edition. The math: 3 months of PC Game Pass (161.97 PLN) cost more than buying Minecraft on PC for 129 PLN, so a subscription pays off when you also play other games from the catalog. Game Pass doesn't include Minecoins or Marketplace add-ons either - those are separate purchases.
If you cancel your subscription, you lose access to Minecraft through Game Pass. Your worlds and progress stay saved, but to play again you have to renew the subscription or buy the game.
Minecraft Education - free for schools
0 PLN - for schools with a Microsoft 365 license
Not for private use. Requires a school account.
Minecraft Education is a special version of Minecraft designed for learning in schools. It includes educational tools: programming with Code Builder, a camera, NPCs for building lesson scenarios and a teacher mode with class control.
It is free for any school or educational institution that has a Microsoft 365 for Education license (A3 or A5). In Poland most public schools have access to Microsoft 365 - the teacher just needs to ask the school's IT administrator to activate the license.

Minecraft itself needs no additional fees after purchase. But if you want to extend the experience, here is the optional spending you might choose:
Minecraft Realms - a private server from Mojang
Realms is Mojang's official server hosting. You don't have to configure anything - you get a ready-made server for your friends. The variants:
- Realms (Bedrock) - from ~29.99 PLN/month
- Realms Plus (Bedrock) - from ~34.99 PLN/month - up to 10 players + the rotating Marketplace Pass catalog (maps, skins, texture packs)
- Realms (Java) - from ~34.99 PLN/month - up to 10 players, vanilla + data packs
Minecoins - the Marketplace currency
Minecoins are the currency for buying add-ons in the Minecraft Marketplace (Bedrock only). Base pack prices are given in US dollars, before taxes and local fees, and the amount in PLN is set by the store of the platform you pay on (as of October 2026):
- 320 Minecoins - 1.99 USD
- 1,020 Minecoins - 5.99 USD
- 1,720 Minecoins - 9.99 USD
- 3,500 Minecoins - 19.99 USD
- 8,800 Minecoins - 49.99 USD
On PlayStation the currency is Tokens, at the same prices. From October 27, 2026, Minecoins bought on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 go into a separate wallet and only work on Nintendo consoles (details of the change).
With Minecoins you can buy skins, texture packs, adventure maps and mods. None of it is required to play - they are purely cosmetic, optional add-ons. Java Edition players don't need Minecoins at all, because mods and skins are free.
Minecraft server hosting
If you want to run your own Minecraft server, you need hosting. Prices in Poland:
- 1-5 players (2-4 GB RAM) - 5-12 PLN/month
- 5-15 players (4-8 GB RAM) - 15-30 PLN/month
- 15-50 players (8-16 GB RAM) - 30-60 PLN/month
- 50+ players (16+ GB RAM) - 60-150+ PLN/month

If you have an old computer at home, you can also run a server for free - the server software is free.
Mods, shaders, texture packs - all free!
In Java Edition the entire modding community is free. Mods, shaders, texture packs, data packs and maps - you download everything for free from sites like Modrinth and CurseForge. The only "cost" is the time to install them.
Is Minecraft ever on sale?
The short answer: almost never. Mojang Studios (and Microsoft) very rarely cut the price of Minecraft. Unlike most games, Minecraft doesn't show up in Steam sales (because it isn't on Steam), and it has no Black Friday deals or typical seasonal sales.
In the game's 15+ years, a direct price cut has happened only a few times. Minecraft is an "evergreen" - it sells so well (over 425 million copies sold according to Xbox, September 2026) that Microsoft has no reason to lower the price.
The cheapest ways to get a legit Minecraft
- Xbox Game Pass Premium (14 days for 1 PLN for new subscribers, as of October 20, 2026) - Minecraft on Xbox and PC as a trial. Then 54.99 PLN a month.
- The mobile version (31.99 PLN in the App Store, 40.00 PLN in Google Play) - the full game for less than a third of the PC price.
- A Minecraft gift card - sometimes cheaper on Allegro, OLX or in retail chain promotions (Empik, Media Expert).
- A family purchase - on Bedrock Edition one purchase = one platform. But everyone in the household can play on a single console/PC through a shared account.
Warning: Avoid suspiciously cheap keys from unofficial stores (G2A, Kinguin and the like). The keys may have been bought with stolen credit cards and then get revoked, and you lose access to the game. Buy only from official sources: minecraft.net, the Microsoft Store, the App Store, Google Play, the Nintendo eShop and the PlayStation Store.

Besides the "main" Minecraft, Mojang has also released a few spin-offs. Here are their current prices:
Minecraft Dungeons - ~79.99 PLN
A Diablo-style hack-and-slash with blocky graphics and Minecraft mobs. A co-op game (up to 4 players), available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. The Ultimate Edition (with all DLC) costs around 129.99 PLN. Minecraft Dungeons is also included in Game Pass.
Minecraft Legends - ~139.99 PLN
A real-time strategy game with action elements. Defending the Overworld from a Piglin invasion, you command an army of mobs in co-op for up to 4 players or PvP for up to 8 players. Available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch. Also in Game Pass.
Minecraft Dungeons II - from 129 PLN
The sequel to Minecraft Dungeons from Mojang Studios and Double Eleven, released on September 29, 2026 on PC (Windows and Steam), Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and in the cloud. There are no Xbox One or PS4 versions. The standard edition costs 129 PLN in every digital store (Steam, Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop). The Deluxe edition costs 219 PLN on Steam, in the Microsoft Store and in the PlayStation Store, and besides the game it includes four extra hero skins, the Soul Cape, the Blub pet and DLC 1 and 2. Upgrading from the standard edition to Deluxe costs 89 PLN on Steam and in the Microsoft Store, or 90 PLN in the PlayStation Store. Cost comparison - the complete table
We checked the prices of PC, phones, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2 and Game Pass on October 20, 2026 in the Microsoft, Apple, Google and Nintendo stores. PlayStation, Realms, Dungeons and Legends prices are from March 2026. Prices may differ by store and region.
The mobile version is the cheapest (from 31.99 PLN for the full game). Xbox Game Pass pays off for a short stint, or when you also play other games from the catalog. On PC the best value is the Java + Bedrock bundle for 129 PLN - two full editions for the price of one.

The yearly cost of owning Minecraft
How much will you spend on Minecraft in total per year? It depends on how you play:
- Minimalist player (Java Edition, singleplayer) - 129 PLN once, then 0 PLN a year. Mods and shaders are free. The best budget option.
- Player with friends (Realms) - 129 PLN + ~420 PLN/year (Realms ~35 PLN/month). About 550 PLN in the first year in total.
- Marketplace player (Bedrock, buys skins) - 129 PLN + ~200-500 PLN/year on Minecoins. About 330-630 PLN in the first year in total.
- Game Pass player - 647.88 PLN/year for PC Game Pass (53.99 PLN/month) or 659.88 PLN/year for Premium (54.99 PLN/month). But that price also gets you hundreds of other games, so the cost of Minecraft is effectively lower.
- Server owner - 129 PLN + 60-720 PLN/year for hosting (5-60 PLN/month). A server for a few friends is ~180 PLN/year, a big public server 720+ PLN/year.
With a one-time purchase of 129 PLN and free mods, Minecraft is one of the cheapest games in terms of cost per hour of entertainment. The average player spends hundreds, if not thousands, of hours in Minecraft - at 1,300 hours, that comes to less than 0.10 PLN per hour of play.

No. All Minecraft updates are free and included in the purchase price. It has been that way since the start (2009) and Mojang does not plan to change it. New biomes, mobs, blocks, mechanics - you get everything for free.
