On our Minecraft server (minecraft.pl, or MCPL for short), events start every day at 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM Polish time. At 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM we play KOTH, at 7:00 PM it's Sword FFA. For each one you sign up with the /event command during a 120-second countdown, and the winner takes home 10 Diamonds, 5000 $ and a key drawing.

There's no keepInventory during events, so if you die you lose whatever you're carrying. If you're not already playing, join on Java at minecraft.pl (versions 1.8 through 26.3) or on Bedrock at minecraft.pl, port 19132. You'll find the details on the minecraft.pl server page.

Schedule: KOTH at 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM, Sword FFA at 7:00 PM

Events start automatically, so you don't need to wait for staff to launch them. The schedule is fixed and repeats every day:

  • KOTH at 5:00 PM,
  • Sword FFA at 7:00 PM,
  • KOTH at 9:00 PM.

The same times show up in the server description on the multiplayer list: "EVENTS daily 5:00 PM/7:00 PM/9:00 PM."

Everything happens on the overworld server, in a separate world called events. KOTH, meaning King of the Hill, is a fight for a zone at coordinates X 198, Y 103, Z -106, which you'll recognize by its purple glass floor. Whoever holds it for 3 minutes straight wins.

Sword FFA is a free-for-all mode focused on melee combat. You start in a no-PvP zone, but once you leave it to fight, you can't go back. In both modes, End Crystals and Respawn Anchors are banned, and in Sword FFA, Elytra are banned too: carrying a banned item gets you kicked from the event.

How to join an event with the /event command

Every event is preceded by a 120-second countdown, and that's the only time you can sign up. Here are the commands and shortcuts you'll need:

  • /event or /wydarzenie: sign up for the event,
  • [CLICK TO JOIN] in chat: sign up with one click,
  • /event opusc: leave the event.

You don't have to be standing in the Overworld. If you type /event while at spawn, in the Nether, or in The End, the server will teleport you to the overworld and sign you up automatically. Start announcements go out on the other servers 60 and 30 seconds before start time. Once there's less than 10 seconds left, transferring from another server no longer works, and sign-ups close once the event starts.

Players transferred from other servers wait for the start on a no-PvP platform. At least 2 players are needed to start, and a single event can hold up to 50. If you're short on rivals, round some up on the server's Discord at dc.minecraft.pl.

Also watch out for combat tag: for 20 seconds after a fight, the /event command is locked, so don't get into fights right before the start. During the event itself, /spawn, /home, /rtp and /afk don't work either: you can't teleport your way out of the arena.

Rewards for winning and key odds

The reward for winning is the same in KOTH and Sword FFA. The winner gets:

  • 10 Diamonds,
  • 5000 $ added to their in-game account,
  • one chest key drawing.

You get one draw for every win. The odds break down like this:

  • Common key: 50%,
  • Golden key: 10%,
  • Crimson key: 3%,
  • Amethyst key: 1%,
  • no key: 36%.

There's no Prime key in this pool, and every key you win is announced in chat. In practice, you'll get a key roughly two out of every three wins (64% total), and you'll need about 100 wins on average for an Amethyst key. Until November 2, 2026, events also hand out Halloween event candy.

After an event ends, nobody sticks around the arena for long: 25 seconds after it's over, the server sends everyone still in the events world back to spawn. If an event runs longer than 15 minutes, it ends without a winner and players are sent back to spawn.

No keepInventory: you're risking your inventory at events

This is the most important rule of the whole system: keepInventory is off during events.

So bring a loadout to KOTH and Sword FFA that you won't mind losing, and leave your best gear in a chest back at base. For comparison: the 5000 $ reward is roughly what you'd get for two Netherite ingots according to /cennik. Losing a full Netherite set could end up costing you more than winning is worth.

Before you leave base, also put away any banned items. It would be a shame to get kicked from an event over one forgotten item.

KOTH on partner server lecraft.pl: 10:00 AM, 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM

If 5:00 PM is too late for you, you'll also find KOTH on the partner server lecraft.pl. It's a BoxPvP server: you mine in mines that reset every 5 minutes, trade your haul for crystals, buy gear with them, and fight in a PvP zone.

KOTH on lecraft.pl starts every day at 10:00 AM, 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM Polish time, but only when at least 5 players are online. The round lasts 10 minutes and takes place in a separate world, which you reach via /warp koth, and the reward is a key to a Rare chest. On Java, you just type in the address lecraft.pl, no port needed.

So at 7:00 PM you'll have to choose between Sword FFA on MCPL and KOTH on lecraft.pl. On MCPL, the next chance comes around at 9:00 PM anyway.
