On Sunday, October 25, 2026, Halloween kicks off on our Minecraft server (minecraft.pl, MCPL for short). For nine days, through November 2, you'll collect candy from hostile mobs and daily events, and the Witch at spawn will trade it for five new event items. What they actually do is still a mystery.
We break down the details below. If you only have a minute, remember these four things:
- Trading: click the Witch at spawn or type /halloween (alias /wiedzma).
- Candy: dropped by hostile mobs you kill yourself, and earned in events.
- Events: daily at 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, sign up with /event, no keepInventory.
- The end: trading closes after November 2, but the event items you bought keep working.
Halloween on MCPL: The Witch and Five Event Items
The Witch stands at spawn, the place where you land right after joining the server. Click her or type /halloween (the shorter alias is /wiedzma) to open the trading menu. The hologram above her head sums up the whole thing in a few words: "Trade candy for event items."
The Witch has five items on offer: the Vampire Candy, the Pumpkin Bomb, the Witch's Broom, the Reaper's Scythe and the Amulet of the Underworld. The Halloween announcement art says only this about them: "What can they do? Find out for yourself."
Don't confuse the Vampire Candy with regular candy. The former is an event item, while the latter is the currency you pay the Witch with.
We already know the trading rules:
- You can buy the Amulet of the Underworld only once per season.
- Event items don't work in events or in duels.
- Purchased items keep working after the season ends, but trading closes after November 2.
- You can't buy event items with real money, only with candy.
So don't leave your trading for the last evening.
Where to Get Candy: Hostile Mobs and Events
The first source is hostile mobs that you kill yourself. The candy drops from the mob like any other drop, so don't forget to pick it up. There's also a daily per-player limit, so after a point, hunting for hours won't give you any more candy.
Not every mob counts. Mobs from spawners and spawn eggs give nothing, and neither do the small slimes that a bigger one splits into when killed. A spawner farm won't help you this time.
The second source is events. If you're in the events world during a round, you get candy for taking part, and if you win, you pick up extra. Candy from events doesn't count toward the daily limit.
In our opinion, this is the most reliable way to build up a Halloween candy stash. Three rounds a day for nine days makes 27 scheduled chances, and you don't even have to win.
Events at 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, No keepInventory
The schedule is fixed, and times are given in Polish time. Three rounds are held every day:
- KOTH at 5:00 PM,
- Sword FFA at 7:00 PM,
- KOTH at 9:00 PM.
You can sign up only during the 120-second countdown before the start. Type /event (or /wydarzenie) then, or click "[CLICK TO JOIN]" in chat. If you do it on another server of the network, you'll be transferred and signed up automatically, as long as more than 10 seconds remain until the start.
A round starts once at least two players have gathered, and it fits at most 50. If you change your mind, leave the event with the /event opusc command.
In KOTH, you win by holding the zone on the purple stained glass floor for three minutes without interruption. In Sword FFA, you start in a no-PvP zone, but if you leave it during a fight, you can't go back. On top of candy, the winner gets 10 diamonds, 5000 in server currency and one key roll.
Remember that events have no keepInventory. If you die, you lose your items, so bring gear you won't miss. Banned items get you kicked from the event: in KOTH these are End Crystals and Respawn Anchors, and in Sword FFA the Elytra is added to the list. /home and /rtp won't work during a round either.
How to Join minecraft.pl on Java and Bedrock
The server supports both editions of the game, and on Java it accepts versions from 1.8 to 26.3, so you don't need to update your client just for Halloween. All you need is this info:
- Java Edition: address minecraft.pl, no port.
- Bedrock Edition: address minecraft.pl, port 19132.
- Discord: dc.minecraft.pl.
You'll find a step-by-step guide for both editions on the minecraft.pl server page. You can chat about event items with other players on the server's Discord.
The first scheduled round with candy is KOTH on Sunday, October 25 at 5:00 PM, and the last is KOTH on November 2 at 9:00 PM. If you feel like having Halloween in singleplayer too between rounds, check out our roundup of Halloween mods, skins and scary maps.
