FTB Ultimine - vein mining with one key

What is FTB Ultimine?

FTB Ultimine is a vein miner mod: you hold a special key (the default is the tilde ~ key) while mining, and the mod automatically breaks all connected blocks of the same type. Instead of clicking 15 times on an iron vein, you mine one block and the rest come down with it.

Ultimine isn't limited to ores. You can chop down whole trees (trunk and leaves), harvest crops on a farm, dig up gravel and sand, and clear cobblestone out of a mine. It's one of those quality-of-life mods that make it hard to go back to vanilla Minecraft.

By default FTB Ultimine breaks up to 64 blocks at a time, and the server can configure that limit.

How to use FTB Ultimine

  1. Install FTB Ultimine and FTB Library (a dependency) in your mods folder.
  2. In game, hold the Ultimine key (default ~ / tilde) and left-click a block.
  3. The highlighted blocks are mined automatically. Switch modes with ~ + the mouse wheel.
Note: FTB Ultimine uses up tool durability for every block it breaks. The Unbreaking enchantment is recommended.

Which key activates FTB Ultimine?

By default the tilde (~) or grave (`) key. Hold it while mining and FTB Ultimine automatically breaks all connected blocks of the same type. You can change the keybind in Options > Controls > Key Binds > FTB Ultimine.

Does FTB Ultimine wear out tools faster?

Every block you mine costs tool durability as usual. Mining a vein of 20 diamond ore blocks uses as much durability as mining 20 blocks by hand. The Unbreaking enchantment helps.
