FTB Quests - a quest system for modpacks
The most widely used quest mod for Minecraft. Quest trees, rewards and goals that guide the player through a modpack.
What is FTB Quests?
FTB Quests is a mod from the Feed The Beast team that adds a full quest and task system to Minecraft. Players open the quest book and see a tree of tasks, from simple ones (collect wood, make a crafting table) to advanced ones (build a reactor, defeat a boss). Completing quests earns rewards: items, experience points or the unlocking of further branches of progression.
FTB Quests is the backbone of most modpacks. Without a quest system, a player is overwhelmed by hundreds of mods and has no idea where to start. Quests lead them through one stage after another, teach the mechanics of each mod and give the game a goal. That's why modpacks like All the Mods (ATM), Better MC and Vault Hunters use FTB Quests as the spine of their gameplay.
The quest system supports many task types: collecting items, visiting a location, killing a mob, reaching a level, completing another quest and many more. Rewards can be random (loot boxes), selectable (the player picks one of several) or automatic.
