Croptopia - crops and cooking

A lightweight, modern food mod. 250+ dishes, 60+ crops, native Fabric and Forge support.

Food Fabric Forge MC 1.16.x - 1.21.x

What is Croptopia?

Croptopia is a modern food mod that fills the gap between vanilla Minecraft and large mods like Pam's HarvestCraft. It adds over 250 dishes and 60+ new crops, while staying lightweight and compatible with other mods.

The mod was built with Fabric in mind, and it was one of the first big food mods for that loader. It also runs on Forge and NeoForge. Crops generate naturally in suitable biomes: rice in swamps, corn on plains, olives in warm regions.

Croptopia's recipes are realistic and intuitive. Pizza needs dough, cheese and your favorite toppings. There are no absurd recipes: if something looks logical in a real kitchen, it works the same way in Croptopia.

Notable crops and dishes

  • Field crops - tomatoes, corn, soybeans, bell peppers, onions, garlic, spinach, celery, eggplants and many more. You plant them on hydrated farmland like vanilla wheat.
  • Fruit trees - apple, peach, orange, lemon and cherry trees. They grow like vanilla trees, and you pick the fruit from the leaves.
  • Main dishes - pizza, sushi, burgers, tacos, dumplings, cabbage rolls. Over 100 dishes you can craft at a crafting table.
  • Drinks and desserts - juices, smoothies, milkshakes, cakes, cookies, ice cream. Each has unique saturation values.
Tip: Croptopia pairs well with Cooking for Blockheads, where the kitchen puts all your recipes in one clear interface.

FAQ

How does Croptopia differ from Pam's HarvestCraft?

Croptopia is lighter and more modern. It has less content (250+ vs 1600+ dishes), but runs natively on Fabric, is regularly updated and has a smaller performance impact.

Do the crops generate in the world?

Yes. Crops appear naturally in suitable biomes. You can also get seeds from grass or by trading with villagers.
