The Minecraft Marketplace picked up over a dozen new items for Bedrock Edition in October 2026, from the Civilizations add-on with 99 new villagers across nine civilizations, to seven bosses in Bosses Rise, plus new maps, texture packs and skins. The official store's monthly update is available to anyone with Marketplace Pass or Realms Plus, with no need to buy each item separately.

Civilizations and Bosses Rise: the month's two flagship add-ons

Civilizations from Mythicus is the biggest add-on of the month in terms of content. It introduces 99 villagers split into nine distinct civilizations, including desert nomads, Arctic dwellers and underwater Atlanteans. Each group has its own trading system and currency, which changes the typical trading mechanics familiar from the base game.

The second big add-on is Bosses Rise from Block Factory, an official Bedrock port of a popular Java Edition mod. Players take on seven bosses, each with unique AI, animations, weapons and armor, and the fights take place in procedurally generated dungeons with a roll mechanic familiar from souls-like games. The add-on costs 1690 Minecoins (about $8.86) and has a 4.7 out of 5 rating from 964 reviews.

Furniture, Monsters and survival gear

For fans of building and classic survival, the Marketplace offers a few smaller but practical items this month. The Monsters add-on from Ninja Block introduces 28 new mobs and 10 weapons, while Furniture from Waypoint Studios adds over 3000 interior decoration items, from chairs to complete kitchen sets.

  • Camping Backpack 2.0 (HorizonBlocks) - a mobile 9x9 shelter that unfolds from a backpack
  • Simply Backpacks (Simply Brilliant) - backpacks in various sizes and colors for organizing your inventory
  • Monsters (Ninja Block) - 28 new mobs and 10 weapons to spice up combat

These add-ons pair well with the new mobs described on the mob wiki, though the Marketplace creatures only work in a world where the given add-on has been activated.

Mini-games and maps: from London to a billionaire's mansion

The maps and mini-games section in October focuses on variety in play styles. Cityscapes London from Octovon lets you explore a virtual recreation of the UK capital, while Billionaire Mansion from Dodo Studios is an extravagant mansion to tour or remodel to your own taste.

  • One Block (Honeyfrost) - the classic survival mode on a single block
  • Mermaid Village (Lifeboat) - an underwater settlement to explore and build in
  • Rustic Log Mansion (CrackedCubes) - a rustic wooden mansion
  • Parkour UP! (Cleverlike) - a 1500-block parkour challenge with no checkpoints

Maps like these often end up on community servers, where groups of players tackle challenges together or organize their own events using ready-made Marketplace worlds.

Textures, skins and a Halloween Character Creator

The texture section includes Askew: Audio Overhaul from Syclone Studios, which changes the game's sound design, as well as Project MELIOR from CubeCraft Games and Jicklus Resource Pack from Pathway Studios, both aiming for a simplified, readable block style. The Simple Modern pack from Giggle Block Studios joins them too.

Two skin packs stand out among the new releases: Friends from Podcrash with 12 casual designs, and Nature's Way from Pixelusion with 10 nature-inspired skins. Character Creator also gained seasonal additions from CreatorLabs: pumpkin wings, a hat, boots, pants and knight armor, fitting the Halloween mood in the game this October.

How to get the October releases

All the add-ons, maps, textures and skins listed are available only in Minecraft Bedrock Edition and require an active Marketplace Pass or Realms Plus subscription, which includes the service in its price. Players without a subscription can buy individual items with Minecoins, as is the case with Bosses Rise.

Java Edition players don't have access to the Marketplace, but the community has been making similar add-ons for years as free mods, often inspired by the same mechanics as the paid Bedrock items. It remains one of the main differences between the two versions of the game, along with how extensions are installed and how servers are accessed.
