Minecraft Championship is back with another themed edition. MCC Bewitched, the 69th event in the series and the eighth of Season 6, kicks off on October 10, 2026 at 8:00 PM British time (BST). Forty popular content creators, split into ten teams of four, compete for the title of best team across nine minigames, most of which got a special Halloween makeover.

How the tournament format works

MC Championship is a monthly tournament organized by Noxcrew and hosted by Smajor1995, in which popular Minecraft creators compete in a set of minigames designed specifically for the series. Points earned in each game are converted into currency used in the final game, Dodgebolt, where the overall winner of the whole event is decided.

For Bewitched, Noxcrew added an extra themed mechanic: between games, teams collect special potion ingredients and toss them into cauldrons, which translates into better spells or curses in the final Decision Dome. The player who collects the most ingredients earns the title of "Pumpkin King."

Ten teams and their rosters

The MCC Bewitched lineup includes well-known faces from the Minecraft community, such as Grian, Ph1LzA, Purpled and Shubble. The teams and their Halloween names look like this:

  • Red Ravens: Feinberg, Graecie, PrinceZam, rendog
  • Orange Oozes: Cambam, Michela, Pangi, ZombieCleo
  • Mustard Mummies: 4CVIT, ashswag, Mogswamp, vGumiho
  • Lime Liches: Legundo, Shubble, Smajor1995, VikingPilot
  • Green Goblins: GeminiTay, Purpled, Roscumber, TheOrionSound
  • Cyan Centipedes: Grian, InfiniteDrift, PeteZahHutt, soupforeloise
  • Aqua Abominations: 5up, Couriway, iJevin, impulseSV
  • Blue Banshees: apokuna, FalseSymmetry, Krinios, Maezes
  • Violet Vampires: guqqie, hannahxxrose, ish13c, Seapeekay
  • Fuchsia Frankensteins: aimsey, jojosolos, KatieB, Ph1LzA

The only change from the original announcements is on the Blue Banshees, where Maezes replaced raerevord. The organizers confirmed this in the team announcements posted on the MC Championship account on X before the tournament started.

Minigames with a Halloween twist

Of the nine games played during the event, several got special seasonal variations familiar from earlier editions. Battle Box returns as Mystery Manor, a map shown only once before, during MCC Haunted Hoedown, with a new mechanic that locks the capture point for the first ten seconds of a round. Parkour Tag turns into Obelisk with a Halloween version of the map, and Sky Battle becomes Mesa-tanic, a nod to recent updates to the Skymart mode.

The rest of the lineup is made up of tried-and-true series games: Ace Race on the Colorado map, Grid Runners with Halloween-themed rooms, Rocket Spleef Rush, Railroad Rush, and the final Dodgebolt in a refreshed "Witchbolt" version. The organizers said that all the games got extra visual effects and sound design inspired by Halloween.

Why this matters to the Polish community

For years, MC Championship has been one of the most popular competitive formats in the Minecraft ecosystem, mixing YouTube and Twitch creators with pure cooperative-yet-competitive minigame action. For Polish players who build their own minigame servers or look for map inspiration on Minecraft servers, the MCC format often serves as a point of reference: many tournament maps, such as Sky Battle or Grid Runners, later circulate in fan-made versions and are available as ready-to-download maps.

The event is streamed in parallel on the channels of all forty participants, so you can watch the tournament from the perspective of your favorite creator. Noxcrew has kept this model for years, and viewers in Poland most often follow English-speaking creators, using subtitles or following along on Twitter and Discord.

What's next for Season 6

MCC Bewitched is the eighth event of Season 6, which means the community can expect more editions in the coming months, usually with a new seasonal theme around upcoming holidays. The results of this edition, including the final team standings and the Pumpkin King title, will be known after the broadcast ends on the evening of October 10.
